We have volunteer roles in the following areas:

  • Volunteering at events: Step into the spotlight and make a tangible impact at our upcoming fundraising events. From Richmond Match Day to the glitz of the Precious Metal Gala and the heart-warming Alannah & Madeline Day, there's a role for everyone.
  • Assisting with office administration and support: Are you someone looking to provide generalised help with our administrative work? The opportunities to volunteer are diverse and always changing.
  • Skilled volunteering and pro bono support: Our skilled volunteers harness their expertise in fields like marketing, finance and operations. By offering professional services pro-bono, you can make a significant contribution to helping keep children safe, wherever they live, learn and play.

Please note: at this time, we are not able to accept new volunteers for our Buddy Bag program.

Volunteering at Events - FAQs

Throughout the year, we are involved in several events that aim to raise much-needed funds to continue our work. To achieve this, we need the help and support of volunteers who will perform several key roles at our major fundraising events.

All training will be provided for every volunteer opportunity at major fundraising events for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.

Each role has an appropriate induction process on the day of the event, however if any additional training is required you will be contacted in advance. Please note that the events which we recruit volunteers for do not require volunteers to have a working with children's check or a police check.

The next volunteer opportunity is the Richmond Football Club Match Day in July 2024. Follow us on social media or sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date with any additional opportunities in the future.

You will be sent an email letting you know that we have received your submission. When the event gets closer, we will be in touch to let you know more specific information, including where you will need to meet us, what you will need to bring or wear and how long you will be required for – as well as any other important details.

Please note that for many of our events we do have a registration deadline and if you submit a form after this date, you may not be included in our list of registrants for an event.

The easiest way to get in touch is to send us a message. Just provide your name and contact details and we’ll get right back to you.

You can also call us on 1300 720 747. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm AEST (excluding public holidays).

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger and requires an urgent response, please phone 000 or call your local police.

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation cannot provide counselling advice or emergency responses. If you need that level of help, please take a look at this list of services and organisations.
